Film Director

Studied filmmaking in California from 2003 to 2006. Upon returning to Japan, worked as a producer at a Tokyo-based production company before going independent as a freelance director in 2011. Drawing on experience as a TV commercial PM and assistant director, he now conceives and directs corporate brand films.
In 2024, he released BLEND#1974, a short film adapted from a novel by celebrated Japanese author Soji Shimada. The film received nominations
at numerous film festivals both in Japan and abroad and won Best International Short Film at the San Francisco Arthouse Short Film Festival. He is currently in development on his next project.
His guiding principle is simple: respect everyone involved in the creative process and make work that leaves every collaborator feeling valued and alive. "I believe that's what gives a film the power to move someone."
